The First Person to Graduate Through Online-Schooling?

Studying an entire school-life on computers? Is it possible? Well, for recent graduate Sarah White it seems possible. Sarah is the first person to graduate from university having studied all her school-years on computers. She received her undergraduate degree in information-in technology. Coincidence? After her online-schooling she says she wishes to improve the Internet so that it can support many schools around the world using it.

She described her years of online-schooling as very "enjoyable" and "interesting". Her parents are proud of the fact that their daughter leant all of her schoolwork online. They say it is very "effective" as teens and younger children find it more interactive to learn through computers. Mr and Ms. White had this to say "computers, the Internet are the next change the world will see very soon. Our daughter is a perfect example of someone who has experienced the start of the change. It is a matter of time before many others witness it".

The spark of Overseas Family School introducing its new teaching system of online-schooling has spread like wild-fire across the world. Many parents say that introducing students to online-schooling will not be as effective as face-to-face teaching. They believe that "students will not learn to socialise and therefore find it hard to make friends if hey stayed home all day". However this does not prove right according to Sarah White who responded saying she found extremely easy to make friends over the Internet, saying she had over 10,000 friends".

Not only Sarah White, according to research, there are said to be over 120,000 students graduating from university with at least 4 years of their schooling being through the Internet.

Rationale
In the article, the main technique i used throughout the article was 'selection of sources'. I used quotes in this feature article that reflect bias towards my particular group profile. I even stuck with mentioning Sarah throughout the article as she was my main subject in the article.
To grab the author's attention I used a question as my title. I thought that this would make the audience wonder what the article would be about and therefore want to read it. I even focused on finding a good picture for this article as aI thought it would be important for it to reflect positive vibes when the reader looks at it. The picture gives a positive feeling to the reader and tells the reader that Sarah (in the picture) is happy with her entire online school life. Since my group is representing the 'Futurists' profile, we want change in technology and development to occur. Since online-schooling is a new technological advanced our group has to be bias towards it. Therefore my main aim for this feature article was to create positive vibes for the reader when he/she reads it. My task was to make the reader feel that online-schooling is a good thing and Sarah White was the person who I featured in my article to help me do this.
